Prime-Line Products Recalls Child Bathtub Non-Slip Pads Due To Fall Hazard
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
Name of Products: Bathtub Non-Slip Pads
Units: About 8,000
Importer: Prime-Line Products Company Inc., of Redlands, Calif.
Hazard: Some pads do not stick to the bathtub surface, posing a fall hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Prime-Line has received one report of the pad failure. No injuries were reported.
Description: The recalled items are whale-shaped, white, vinyl, non-slip bathtub pads with textured surfaces and adhesive backings and are used to help prevent children from slipping and falling in bathtubs. The pads come in sets of 12 and 15. Each set contains pads that range in size from 2 to 4 inches tall. The model number is S-4630 and SKU number is 049793846303. Both are printed on the back of the packaging.
Sold at: Ace Hardware & Menards nationwide between May 24, 2010 and June 13, 2011 for about $6.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the pads and contact Prime-Line to receive a full refund.

陳菊摔傷腰椎 須住院兩週
〔記者楊菁菁、蔡清華、胡健森／綜合報導〕高雄市長陳菊昨天清晨不慎在礁溪的長榮鳳凰飯店內滑倒摔傷腰椎，昨午緊急從宜蘭搭乘醫療專機轉到高醫，高醫醫療團隊判定為第一腰椎骨折，評估並未傷及神經，而且非複雜性骨折，不需要動手術，但須住院一至二週。
自費從宜蘭搭醫療專機到高醫
高市府新聞局長賴瑞隆表示，陳菊市長職務將由第一副市長劉世芳暫代，市政推動應不致受影響；至於醫療專機費用「由陳菊自費支應」。
這是陳菊擔任市長五年來第三次住院。第一次住院是二○○七年四月廿六日，後來檢查是輕微中風；今年六月九日因腎盂發炎高燒再度住院，六月十五日出院。
陳菊是卅日偕同市府觀光局長陳盛山、民政局長曾姿雯，就大型活動舉辦前往觀摩宜蘭童玩節，並與宜蘭縣府就觀光發展進行交流。
根 據市府團隊說法，陳菊在浴室內滑倒後，導致壓迫性骨折，疼痛到根本站不起來，幸好當時房間內有一名女性友人陪同，女性隨扈房間也在隔壁，兩人立即飛奔到陳 菊身旁，隨扈第一時間打電話給衛生局長何啟功，何隨即通知宜蘭縣衛生局長及陽明大學附設宜蘭醫院，經當地醫療團隊評估並尊重陳菊意願，允許她搭乘醫療專機 回到高醫進行後續治療。
高醫院長吳俊仁昨召集副院長賴文德（陳菊四年前中風時主治醫師）、小港醫院院長劉景寬（神經內科權威，也是陳菊先前 中風治療時的醫療團）、骨科主任鄭裕民、脊椎疼痛科醫師呂衍謀組成醫療團隊，經電腦斷層後判定為第一腰椎骨折，檢查感覺運動神經反應良好，由於並無壓迫或 傷害到神經系統，沒有造成下肢麻痺癱瘓風險，決定採取保守治療，先讓陳菊穿戴背架（俗稱鐵衣）臥床休息，讓脊椎自體修復。
高醫團隊指出，以 陳菊年齡六十一歲來看，多少都會有骨質疏鬆的情況，跌倒導致骨折情況很普遍，這種急性腰椎骨折是非常痛的，所以第一時間先採取疼痛控制，陳菊到院時神智清 楚，但因為痛無法翻身移動，陳菊是固定在擔架中送到病房，血壓收縮壓一五○mmHg或舒張壓九○mmHg，心跳每分鐘八十八下，直到以背架固定後加上止痛 藥劑，疼痛才見舒緩。
宜蘭縣長林聰賢得知陳菊跌倒後，隨即偕同夫人林素雲到醫院探視。林聰賢說，陳菊難得回娘家（陳菊是宜蘭人）卻發生這樣的事情，讓大家很不捨，希望她趕快好起來；陳菊則說，這麼久才回宜蘭一趟卻讓大家擔心，實在很不好意思。
長榮鳳凰（礁溪）公關經理單筱輝說，飯店工作人員在上午六點廿分接到陳市長隨行人員的通知後，急召救護車並安排就醫，陳菊跌倒的地點是在客房內而非浴室，陳菊在他人攙扶下走上救護車，並回頭跟大家說再見。
